Set up OysterVPN on LibreELEC with Kodi add-on

Last Updated: October 6, 2021

When Kodi is set up with OysterVPN, it takes it to a whole new level, allowing users to access a variety of add-ons, channels, and shows. This tutorial will show you how to set up OysterVPN on LibreELEC with a Kodi add-on?

Because of its non-Kodi GUI, LibreELEC, the Just Enough OS for Kodi, is a more sophisticated platform compared to other Kodi platforms. However, after you’ve mastered a few basic Linux commands, you should have no trouble installing software such as VPNs or repositories. Kodi can be used on nearly any device, and it does so with very low system resources.

You’ll need a,

  • LibreELEC device,
  • OysterVPN application, and an
  • active OysterVPN subscription to begin the setup process.

If you haven’t purchased an OysterVPN subscription yet, then click here to make a purchase.

If you don’t currently have a subscription, click here to do so.

  1. To begin, you must first download the Zomboided repository. Click here to download.
  2. Connect the USB flash drive to your computer and go to the Zomboided repository file (repository.zomboided.plugins-1.0.0.zip). So, you don’t have to do it again later; click here to upload the configuration file.
  3. Switch to your LibreELEC device now that you’ve uploaded all of your files to your USB memory stick.
  4. Then connect the USB disc to your device and launch the Kodi interface.
  5. Select Add Source from the File Manager by clicking the settings icon. There should be a USB drive option that may occur asking for the repository’s name, and you can name it whatever you like.

  20. Select the configuration file(s) you want to upload from your USB drive and click OK.
  21. When the importation is finished, you will receive a notification.
  22. Return to the settings page and select VPN Connection from the left pane’s second tab.
  23. Choose the first option, that is the first VPN connection.
  24. Go to your configuration file and double-click it. Please wait as it establishes a connection with the server.
