IPv6 or Internet Protocol Version 6 was designed to take the place of IPv4. However, it comes with existing IP options for customizing your VPN. Therefore, disabling IPv6 might be a good first step toward a solid setup with better speed. To effectively disable IPv6 on Android, follow the instructions below.
- Open the Settings app on your Android device.
- Select the Network and Internet option, then go to Mobile Network.
- Tap on Advanced from the drop-down menu.
- Now select Access point names, then tap on your current Internet Network.
- Then select the IPv4 option in both APN protocol and APN roaming protocol.
- Select APN protocol and disable IPv4.
- Go back and choose the APN roaming protocol to disable IPv4.
- Once you are done with the steps, you’ve successfully disabled IPv6 on your Windows computer.
