Follow the instructions below to set up OysterVPN manually with OpenVPN using Linux Terminal.
- Open the Terminal/Console and run this command Sudo apt-get install network-manager-OpenVPN.
- Now press Enter after typing the command.
- Enter Y to confirm the installation.
- Download the OysterVPN OpenVPN configuration files from here.
- Extract the downloaded config files folder from your Downloads folder.
- Right-click on your Network Connection icon and select “Configure Network Connections” from the drop-down menu.
- Click on the + sign.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Create” after selecting Import VPN Connection.
- Go to your Downloads folder, where you have extracted the TCP and UDP files.
- Open any folders, TCP, or UDP, depending on which OpenVPN protocol you want to use.
- Now double-click on the VPN server file you want to use, and select “Yes” in this example.
- Type your OysterVPN username and password in the relevant fields. Then click OK.
- Click Connect in your Network Connections to connect to the VPN profile you just created.
