Last Updated: October 6, 2021

Do you want to connect OysterVPN servers on your android device manually? But you don’t know how to do that? Worry not; in this step-by-step tutorial, you will learn the entire process precisely and subtly. But before proceeding further towards manual connection, make sure to have an Android device with 5.0 android configuration and an active OysterVPN subscription.

STEP #1 First of all, launch the OysterVPN app

STEP # 2 If you already have purchased the OysterVPN subscription, then hit the login button as an existing user.

STEP # 3 Don’t you have purchased a subscription plan yet? Then hit the sign-up button to create an account.

STEP # 4 After getting signed in, you will be given a Manual Connection; click on it.

STEP # 5 To connect manually, you will need to acquire the hostname/IP address of OysterVPN along with service credentials.

STEP # 6 To get those details, visit our website or press the Get Credentials option in the OysterVPN app; while clicking on the button, it will direct you to the required page.

STEP # 7 Here, you will be given a hostname under each server location. Copy the hostname of your required server.

STEP # 8 Now click on the credential tab, and here you will have to insert the required credentials to proceed.

STEP # 9 You need to enter the following credentials

  • Username: OysterVP service username (from step 3)
  • Password: OysterVPN service password (from step 3)
  • Hostname / IP: Hostname or the IP address of the server you want to connect to (from step 3)
  •  Protocol: If you want to leave the default protocol (IKEv2) or you can even pick from the given protocol options (OpenVPN UDP or OpenVPN TCP)

STEP # 10 Hit the Connect button. Here, you will see the VPN’s connection status and the new IP address for your device. Now you have successfully connected with the OysterVPN server manually.
