How to set up OpenVPN on iOS (iPhone/iPad)?

OpenVPN is a free and open-source security protocol for establishing secure point-to-point connections in routed and remote access networks. Here is a step-by-step guide on setting up OpenVPN on iOS using OysterVPN. But before you follow the instructions, consider the following:

STEP # 1 An active internet connection.

STEP # 2 An iOS device running iOS 9 or higher is required (iPad, iPhone, etc.)

STEP # 3 An OysterVPN Premium account (click here to subscribe if you haven’t.), then continue the following steps.

STEP # 4 Install the OpenVPN Connect App from the App store.

STEP # 5 Once installed, open it.

STEP # 6 Download the OysterVPN TCP and UDP Config Files for OpenVPN. Click here to download the files.

STEP # 7 Tap on ‘Open in files

STEP # 8 Select ‘iCloud drive’ and then tap on ‘Add.’

STEP # 9 After that, go to the ‘Home screen’ of your iOS device.

STEP # 10 Open the ‘File’ folder, iCloud Drive, in the “Files” folder.

STEP # 11 You’ll find the downloaded Config Files there.

STEP # 12 Click on OysterVPN _ovpn.

STEP # 13 Select “Preview Content”.

STEP # 14 Now choose the server location/country of your choice.

STEP # 15 Open it with the “OpenVPN Connect” App.

STEP # 16 Tap on ‘Add‘ and follow the below steps:

STEP # 17 Enter a title like “Australia “.

STEP # 18 Enter your username and password for OysterVPN.

STEP # 19 Check the box next to “Save password “.

STEP # 18 At the top right of the screen, tap “ADD”.

STEP # 19 After creating a VPN profile, turn on the switch to connect.

STEP # 18 OysterVPN will connect in a few moments.

STEP # 19 To connect or unplug OysterVPN, enable/disable the switch.
