This tutorial will show you how to configure Kodi with OysterVPN using OysterVPN. You’ll need an active Kodi application, OysterVPN application, and an active OysterVPN subscription to begin the setup process. If you don’t currently have a subscription, click here to do so.
Configure Kodi With OysterVPN
- Download the OysterVPN Config Files for OpenVPN TCP and UDP. Click here to download.
- Then download the VPN manager installation file. Click here to download.
- Move both the service.vpn.manager-Master.zip and the unzipped OysterVPN configuration files to your OpenElec device now. Note: [Moving all configuration files is not required.]
- The OpenElec device will appear in your Workgroup if connected to your local network. So, moving data to OpenElec shareable folders is simple. Alternatively, you can use a USB drive to transfer these data to an OpenElec device.
- After you’ve moved both files, launch Kodi and navigate to Add-ons.
- Then click on the Add-on browser.
- Select “Install from Zip File” from the drop-down menu.
- t may display a message indicating that installation from unknown sources has been disabled. In that scenario, go to “Settings,” enable “Unknown Sources,” and select “Yes.”
- Return to the “Install from Zip file” option now.
- Navigate to the location of the service.vpn.manager-Master.zip file.
- Choose “Windows network (SMB)” if you migrated files via Workgroup.
- If you move files using multiple methods, they would end up in the “Home folder.” Go to Add-Ons and click on Program add-ons.
- Then go to VPN Manager after installing VPN Manager.
- Go to Add-on Settings > Settings and select “User specified import wizard” from the drop-down menu.
- After that, you’ll be given the choice of selecting a specific server’s file or an entire directory. It is recommended that you use the “Directory” option to transfer all configuration files.
- Then select Files if you only want to use one or a few servers. Whatever choice you choose, you must navigate to the server configuration file in your Home folder.
- Enter the OysterVPN Username and Password after importing the configuration files.
- Click on “First VPN Connection” under the “VPN Connections” menu.
- You will be connected in a few moments.
- Select the “Change or disconnect VPN connection” option in the main VPN Manager window to disconnect or change your server location.
That’s it! You’ve completed the installation and configuration of Kodi with OysterVPN using OpenVPN.
